Test results likely this weekend

City of Clemson announces that the results of water samples along six streets should be available around 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon.  Those results are to determine whether a boil water advisory can be lifted for Essex Drive, Boggs Street, Cochran Road, Elm Street, Clemson Street, and Calhoun Street.  In the meantime, the boil water advisory continues, and it means that customers there should boil their water vigorously for one full minute before using it for drinking and or cooking purposes. The advisory is issued as a precaution only due to a water line tie in on the new 10 inch water main. If you should have any questions concerning this advisory, you may call the City of Clemson Utilities Department at 864-653-2046 or the Police Department at 864-624-2000 after normal business hours. Water sample testing results should be available at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Please refer to the City of Clemson’s web page at www.cityofclemson.org for updated information regarding the status of this advisory.
