Testimony to resume September 29

The jury at Oconee Common Pleas Court heard testimony from Russell Reynolds III, son of the late Dorothy Reynolds. It appears that when testimony picks back up again Monday, September 29 the case will then switch to the defense. For nearly two weeks, the jury heard plaintiff’s witnesses in the case of alleged medical malpractice at the Seneca Health and Rehabilitation facility. The son’s testimony followed that of a Florida CPA, who at the request of the plaintiff, analyzed the facility’s staffing levels and its income during the period in and around Dorothy Reynolds’ stay there.  She died in 2011, and the plaintiff has offered witnesses and court exhibits in an attempt to show that Mrs. Reynolds developed a large bed sore and became mal-nourished. The pace of the trial, so far, has been slow as some of the witnesses have required two days to complete their testimony.
