Texas business leader named to Clemson Trustee Board

Business leader Cheri Marie Phyfer has been named to the Clemson University board of trustees. Phyfer is president and general manager of the Diversified Brands Division of Sherwin-Williams, a company she joined in 1993 after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in management from Clemson. She succeeds Bill Hendrix of Kiawah Island.   In 2008 Phyfer was named one of the “Most Powerful and Influential Women in Texas” by the Texas Diversity Council, and in 2009, the Dallas Business Journal named her to its list of the city’s “Top 40 under Forty” business people.
