“Thank you for your service” not enough, one vet says

One Oconee veteran says those who served in the military are appreciative when they hear, “Thank you for your service.”  But Jim Sanders says he’d like the general public to keep in mind the many others who give support roles to returning service men and women.  “I think people have misconceptions of veterans….Like my son said when he was six years old.  He said, ‘Daddy, have you ever been shot at?’  I said, ‘No, but I have been in an invasion,” Sanders told 101.7/WGOG NEWS.
