Thawing out cold cases

Sheila Carver, missing since 1998.

True to a campaign promise, Oconee Sheriff Mike Crenshaw begins to apply some heat to his department’s file of cold cases—cases of homicide or missing persons that have never been solved. Jimmy Watt, department spokesman, says starting this afternoon details will be available on the department website and thru its social media links on the disappearance of Shelia Carver, last seen 15 years ago in the village of Utica near Seneca. “There is a $10 thousand anonymous reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Shelia’s remains,” Watt said this morning on 96.3/WGOG’s Morning Show with Kris Butts.
