The Great Recession left a hole in the pocket

In the years since the Great Recession, the country’s economy has tried to rebound, but the results are mixed.  In an analysis by the national news magazine Time found that some areas have fared better than others.  For Oconee County, Time magazine pegged the county’s household income of $45,204 in 2009 and $41,197 in 2014 after adjusting for inflation. That’s an 8.9% decrease since the recession.
