The impact of nuclear waste from abroad

The impact to South Carolina of potential nuclear waste from Germany and other countries will be discussed during a public meeting tomorrow night at Clemson. Everyone is invited to the meeting, sponsored by the Foothills Sierra club and the League of Women Voters of the Clemson Area. Guest speaker Suzanne Rhodes, former environmental policy manager for South Carolina DHEC, will speak on “Atoms for Peace and Other Misgotten Plans for Nonproliferation.” Doors open at 7 and the program starts promptly at 7:30 in the main meeting room of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Clemson at Patrick Square.
