The Keowee Key story

Forty years ago the company that originally developed what today is Keowee Key brought in Eddie Albert, star of a popular TV show called “Green Acres” to help promote living on the new Lake Keowee. Since then, a story has developed of a gated community that changed Oconee County. Part of that story will be told this week when Kevin McCracken speaks to the June business forum of the Oconee Economic Alliance.  McCracken, general manager for the development, will provide an overview and discuss the economic impact to Oconee. The public is invited. The forum takes place 8 o’clock Thursday morning at Thrift Development, Bountyland Road, Seneca.
