The right to reconsider or appeal
The Oconee County administrator says the county has the right to ask for reconsideration or file an appeal of a judge’s decision in favor of zoning protesters. Scott Moulder said yesterday County Council has yet to make a decision on either option, as the county has just received Judge Lawton McIntosh’s complete order in the case of Jennings, McMahan and others versus the county. The circuit judge ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, in their challenge of the county’s zoning district agricultural residential. According to Moulder, from the date of Tuesday’s order the county has 10 days to ask for a reconsideration and 30 days to file an appeal.
