May 2, 2013

The Oconee Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s help to solve thefts last weekend near Seneca on the Wells Highway. Information provided that helps solve the cases could mean a cash reward. The crimes occurred between Saturday and Monday. At 1974 Wells Highway, someone removed a gate from a driveway and took a green E-Z-Go golf cart and a 5 X 10 utility trailer. At 2020 Wells Highway, thieves unbolted a fence and stole galvanized fence posts, two air lines, two Exide batteries, and a white 1994 Izusu pickup truck. According to Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department, deputies suspect the thefts are related. Tipsters may contact Crimestoppers at 638-STOP.
