Threat called “unsubstantiated”

Sheriff Mike Crenshaw says, so far, law enforcement believes a threat made to West-Oak High School students is unsubstantiated.  That threat, thru social media, originated from outside the county.  According to Crenshaw, law enforcement elsewhere is interviewing a student but they do not believe, at this time, there is any danger to Oconee County students.  Out of precaution, extra Oconee deputies were stationed this morning at all West-Oak area schools.  West-Oak High went to a code yellow, a situation of moderate potential danger.  The specific threat has not been detailed, so far, but Crenshaw promises an update when further information is available.
