Three charged with rash of Clemson crimes

Three Seneca men have been charged in a series of crimes in downtown Clemson. The Clemson police have announced the arrests of Dylan Patrick Smith, 20 years old; Michael Delvin McClure, 21; and Leroy Dalton Crooks, 20. The police say Smith, McClure, and Crooks have been implicated in a rash of auto burglaries, thefts of property, and malicious damage within the Clemson downtown—in areas from the city-owned parking deck, two Sloan Street apartments; and downtown neighborhoods around Riggs Drive and Strode Circle. The police credit the use of street cameras to develop a suspect vehicle. Nearly 50 arrest warrants were issued for the three. They were arrested yesterday morning and were being held in the city jail.
