Three contractors bid on Walhalla utilities work

May 1, 2014

A Pickens contractor appears to be the low bidder for the job of phase two of the Chicopee Mill Hill water line replacement project. Scott Parris, city utilities director, says Inflow Utilities bid a little more than $431 thousand, 500 dollars. Engineers must now pore over the bids submitted at today’s deadline by three companies to determine their suitability for the work. Walhalla can count on a grant of up to $500 thousand dollars in Community Development Block money to pay for the work.
