Walhalla’s next second-in-command of the police department likely will be an officer already on the force. That’s what Chief Ronald Wilbanks indicated Friday when asked about whom he will choose to succeed the retiring Curtis Rogers. Capt. Rogers officially calls it a career on Tuesday. He will have completed 25-years in law enforcement. At a drop-in in his honor, Rogers said his interest in police work was formed by having a father who worked in the field.
