Toddler falls into swimming pool

May 5, 2014

A child fell into a swimming pool yesterday afternoon near the Blackjack Road. This morning that boy is reported in critical condition at a Greenville hospital. Charlie King of Oconee Emergency Services reports  family members found the boy lifeless on Eleven Oak Drive, but bystanders were able to provide CPR until first responders arrived. And King credits the family members and the responders for giving the child his best chance of survival by being skilled in CPR. Individuals, along with civic clubs and church groups, are encouraged to learn the skill of saving someone’s life by taking classes available through Oconee Emergency Services at 638-4200.
