Tomorrow is Primary Election Day!

Across Oconee County and across South Carolina tomorrow, it’ll be Primary Election Day 2014. Oconee voters are urged to turn out at the polls and participate in the process—by voting in either the Democratic or Republican primaries. The only contested local office on tomorrow’s ballot is the one between incumbent Paul Corbeil and his challenger, Edda Cammick for Seat 1, Oconee County Council. That one is reserved for the Republican ballot and limited to only those Oconee voters registered in District One. Many Oconeeans will have an interest tomorrow in the Republican Senate primary tussle between county resident Senator Lindsey Graham and six challengers from within his party. Graham has expressed confidence he’s going to win re-election, but the question tomorrow will be whether he can tally enough votes and distance between the second place finisher to avoid a run-off election two weeks later. Whether you vote Republican or Democrat tomorrow, there are choices for constitutional offices—along with advisory questions sponsored by both parties. Voting tomorrow will be 7 a-m to 7 p-m.
