Too early to set Solicitor’s staff

David Wagner says it’s too early for him to decide who will staff the offices of Oconee and Anderson Solicitor.  Wagner is coming off a decisive win in a two-county vote Tuesday to send him into the top prosecutor’s position in the 10th Circuit.  Wagner reminded 101.7/WGOG NEWS that though he faces no ballot opposition in this year’s General Election, he must wait until November to be confirmed in office.  The office of Oconee Elections today released statistics from Tuesday’s runoff in Oconee in which Wagner captured every precinct in his contest with Rame Campbell.  But, as is usual in the case of a runoff, most voters sat out the election.  Out of an eligible 48 and a half thousand county voters, only 4,018 voted.
