Traffic accident in front of the fire station

The state patrol investigated an accident this morning in front of Oconee County’s Corinth-Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department. Authorities say the accident involved a private vehicle and an Oconee County spare fire engine whose driver was stopped to make a turn into the station. No one reported injured. County Fire Chief Charlie King described the damage to the fire engine as rear-end damage—initially estimated at $3 thousand. According to King, the damage can be repaired.
