Traffic accidents in Oconee and Anderson

Oconee County Dispatch reports a medical helicopter flew two persons injured in an early morning traffic accident. According to the state patrol, the accident occurred shortly before 3:30 at S.C. 24 and Eva Frank Lane. No immediate word on the conditions of the injured. In Anderson, a 91-year old driver from Pendleton was pronounced dead at the hospital after a two-car accident yesterday morning at MLK and Civic Center boulevards. The Anderson police quote witnesses as saying a 2005 Chevy sedan, driven by the Pendleton resident, turned into the path of an oncoming 2006 Ford Explorer, driven by Kecla Chapman of Anderson. Chapman was uninjured. The car driven by the 91-year old Pendleton woman, whose name was not made available to 96.3/WGOG NEWS, carried one passenger—the driver’s husband.
