Traffic Fatality Claims Clemson Student

A Sunday afternoon traffic accident claimed the life of of a 20 year old Clemson student.  Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis says Kohleigh Michelle Hunt died Sunday afternoon when her car was hit by two other cars on Highway 24 at the intersection of Hunt Road and Coneross Creek Road in Westminster.   Authorities say Ms. Hunt had stopped at a stop sign, but then pulled into the path of an eastbound vehicle.  The collision with that vehicle threw her car into the path of a westbound vehicle which subsequently collided with the victim’s vehicle.  Coroner Addis says Ms. Hunt died at the scene of blunt force trauma.  According to reports, at the time of the accident, she had just left her nearby home to visit a friend.  Ms. Hunt was a student at Clemson University.  Coroner Addis says she was wearing her seatbelt when the accident occurred.
