Traffic stop leads to two arrests

An early morning traffic stop at West Union led to the arrests  of two people charged with drug offenses. Announcement by the Oconee Sheriff Department states Ladonnia Kaye Moore, 31, of Whitworth Circle near Seneca has been charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, driving under suspension, and giving false information to a law enforcement officer. The second person arrested, Timothy Howard Elrod, faces the identical drug charge—along with possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person convicted of a violent felony. Authorities gave two addresses for Elrod: 3600 Old Clemson Highway, Seneca and 3461 Farrells Road in Branchville, South Carolina. A sheriff’s deputy was alerted around 1:20 Wednesday morning by a report of a man and a woman acting suspiciously at a West Union store.
