Train strikes truck at Seneca crossing

Motor vehicle traffic remains blocked this morning from a railroad crossing near downtown Seneca.  Late last night, authorities say, a train hit an 18-wheeler attempting to cross the tracks at East Main Street.  According to the Seneca Fire Department, no one was hurt and no fire resulted, but contents from the truck were scattered everywhere.  They have been identified as battery terminals to be used to make battery containers at the Johnson Controls Plant.  Lt. Joseph Lament of the Seneca Fire Department says there was significant damage that must be repaired before vehicles can resume cross the tracks.
