Transition going well, Hunter Kome says

Oconee Memorial Hospital and its new owner, the Greenville Health System, have yet to be able to mesh their separate financial accounting systems, but the transition is going well, according to Hunter Kome. The president of the Oconee Medical Campus of GHS told the Oconee board of directors last night, “We’re having a good year financially. Volumes have been outstanding.” However, Kome’s positive report was verbal only. He explained that because the two financial systems have yet to be merged, the financial reports won’t be reduced to writing for some time. In its new role of mostly advisory to the parent GHS system, the Oconee board is not scheduled to meet again until May.
