Trial anticipates defendant’s testimony

Defense attorney Delane Rosemond indicated his client, Melissa Dawn Ramey, will testify this morning in her defense at the Oconee General Sessions Court. Today is the second day of a trial in which the prosecutor’s office is trying the 37-year old Ramey on charges of grand larceny and burglary first degree at a caretaker’s home at a Long Creek farm. Yesterday a defense witness, Jennifer Dills, insisted Ramey could not have committed the crime March 7, 2011 because Ramey was with her on that day.
