Trial moves to the defense stage

In two days, the plaintiff’s side made its case for medical malpractice against an Oconee County physician. Now it’s the chance for Dr. Frank Rao’s side to present its defense.  A jury will decide. The Rao side began its defense this morning by calling to the stand a fellow Oconee doctor—Greg Enders, an anesthesiologist at Oconee Medical Center. Dr. Enders acted as supervising anesthesiologist during Dr. Rao’s 2009 surgery on Cassondra Sweenor. The late patient’s father, Elvis Pressley, is the plaintiff in the case.
