Trial recessed until Friday

Not long after the case switched from the prosecution to the defense, the judge announced a recess in the Adam Burdette trial at the Oconee Courthouse. The Hon. Cordell Maddox ordered the trial adjourned until 11 o’clock Friday morning. The last witness to be heard today was the first defense witness, Dr. Keith Lyle of the University of Louisville. Burdette, a Westminster area resident, is being tried this week on the charge of murder, in the shooting death in 2013 of Seneca resident Evan Tyner.
