Truck fire on 123

A U-haul truck caught fire around mid-afternoon yesterday on U.S. 123 in Oconee County near Clemson. No one appeared injured, but the fire heavily damaged the truck’s cab and engine. According to an approaching driver, the truck pulled to a stop in an asphalt median in front of Jacobs Road. Its driver may not have immediately known his vehicle had caught fire.
