TUESDAY SPORTS: Furman Falls Again

Senior Lucas Troutman posted a game-high 23 points and seven rebounds to power the Elon Phoenix to a 78-49 victory over Furman in Southern Conference action on Monday night at Timmons Arena.   With the loss, Furman slipped to 9-19 overall and 3-12 in league play. ___________________________________________________

The Clemson men are in action Tuesday night on the road at Wake Forest. Tip off is 7:00 PM from the Lawrence Joel Coliseum in Winston Salem.

Clemson baseball will host Presbyterian College Tuesday afternoon at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. First pitch is set for 4:00 PM. ___________________________________________________

Freshman right-hander Wil Crowe has been named SEC Freshman of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.   This marks the second consecutive week Crowe earned SEC honors, as he was previoulsy named SEC Pitcher of the Week.

The ACC football championship game is staying in Charlotte. ACC commissioner John Swofford said the conference and Charlotte Sports Foundation have reached an agreement on a six-year contract extension that will keep the football title game in Charlotte through 2019.
