Twisters Reported In Oconee County

Oconee County remains under a tornado warning until 9:52 PM Monday, according to the National Weather Service at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. Oconee County has been under the severe weather threat since before 8:30 PM when storms with rotation were reported 5 miles southwest of Westminster and tornado damage was reported near Toccoa, Georgia. Social media sites Facebook and Twitter exploded with sightings of funnel clouds on the ground near the Dollar General Store in Oakway at Highway 182, at Highways 11 & 24 and near Snow Creek Road. At 9:26 PM, the warnings were extended into Anderson, Abbeville, and Greenwood Counties, set to expire in those locations at 10:24 PM.
