Residents displaced by home fire

As the result of yesterday’s fire near Westminster. the American Red Cross now says it is helping four adults by providing services to meet their immediate needs, including financial assistance for food, clothing, and temporary lodging, comfort kits with personal hygiene items, and referrals to partner agencies to assist with their long-term recovery. The fire scene yesterday afternoon was 146 Dawn Drive near the Greenfield Road.  Charlie King, Oconee Fire Chief, said fire fighters encountered a fire throughout the main level of the home.  They needed about 15 minutes to put a stop to the fire. The occupants at the time were away.  Investigators searched the debris for a cause of the fire.
