Veterans Day event

Walhalla Middle School celebrated Veteran’s Day by honoring more than 100 veterans and their spouses from across the county at the annual Veteran’s Day breakfast. Breakfast was prepared by Mountain View Restaurant and served by the Walhalla Middle School student government officers. The WMS 8th grade band and chorus performed patriotic selections during the breakfast, and the WMS 8th grade strings performed music in the lobby before the breakfast. Jerry Dyar, Director of the Veteran’s Affairs Office for Oconee County was the guest speaker.
