A vote last night brings sewer for southern Oconee closer to reality. A new set of consultants applied a new set of eyes of how to sewer the Golden Corner Commerce, as well as extend the service eventually to three exits on I-85. URS Consultants considered three routes and chose S.C. 59 over highway 11 and 182 possibilities. Andrew Allen of URS projected that, including a pump station at the GCCP, the sewer extension could be accomplished for between $8 and $10 million
