In two duties, Williams to succeed Sprouse

In the coming weeks, a new man will wear the black robe inside the justice chambers of two Oconee County municipalities. Seneca attorney and Little River community resident Jim Williams has agreed to assume the part time duties of municipal judge in both Salem and Walhalla. There, he will succeed Scott Sprouse. In January, Sprouse is scheduled to become a circuit court judge and will fill the judgeship that West Union’s Alex Macaulay must vacate because of the state’s requirement that judges step down when they reach 72 years old.
