Update on accident at treatment plant

A worker hurt this morning at the Seneca water plant construction site was flown to a Greenville hospital, and one city official says, “We’re praying and hoping for the best.” Bob Faires, utilities superintendent, identified the injured worker as an employee of a subcontractor involved in the treatment plant renovation project. Faires says the worker was hurt in an accident involving a scissors lift. Work on the project has been shut down temporarily.
