W8 to TXT is now Law

It’s now illegal to text and drive in South Carolina. If you get caught texting while driving in South Carolina you will now get fined. Lance Corporal David Jones of the SC Highway patrol says the law went into effect in the middle of the year, but there was a six month grace period for motorists to become familiar with the law. The Highway patrol will now issue citations for people who are texting while driving. South Carolina becomes one of the 44 states which ban texting while driving under distracted driving laws. The only states which have not banned texting while driving are Arizona, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, and Texas.
