Wagner wins two-county vote

The man who will ascend to the top prosecutor’s job in Oconee and Anderson is the man who has spent several years working for the Oconee office.  The state elections office has published unofficial results from yesterday’s runoff election that give David Wagner 62% of the vote in both counties, compared to opponent Rame Campbell’s 38%.  Wagner will await the designation of Solicitor-elect before he’s able to move into the office of 10th Circuit Solicitior in January.  In Oconee, it was no contest from the very first precinct report. Wagner consistently tallied 80% or higher and finished the night with 83.5% of the Oconee vote.  In neighboring Pickens County, voters opted for a change in the State Senate.  They gave Rex Rice 54% and incumbent Larry Martin 45.7%.
