Walhalla beyond Streetscape

The idea of going beyond Walhalla’s four-block core commercial area was introduced tonight during the August meeting of city council.  Mayor Danny Edwards welcomed Joe Bryant, representing Seamon Whiteside.  Bryant introduced the idea of improving Walhalla’s Broad Street, one block from Main, as way to enhance the city’s effort to bring new life to the downtown.  Edwards and Bryant agreed that façade grants and landscaping on a side street are among the ideas.  Bryant suggested a master plan and told the city leaders his company would charge its hourly rate.
