Walhalla considering 1-cent application

At their next meeting, Walhalla’s elected leaders are requested to bring ideas on city projects that could benefit from a one-cent local sales tax. City Administrator Nancy Goehle takes the attitude that if you don’t ask, you’ll get nothing. She and Mayor Edwards have invited the city council to think of potential projects to fund or help fund—in the event a countywide one-cent sales tax is approved during a referendum envisioned for November 2014. The county Capital Project Sales Tax Commission is accepting applications until January 15.
