Walhalla water service in expansive mode

As many as five companies have responded to Walhalla’s request for qualifications to study the city’s water future. Scott Parris, city utilities director, said last night those qualifications are being reviewed. The Walhalla Water Department is looking for an engineering company for a twofold study. According to Parris, Walhalla remains in the search for a new raw water source. It also requires upgrades to its treatment plant, constructed about 50 years ago.
