Warrants charge Anderson man with Mtn. Rest crimes

Oconee Sheriff’s Office says it is holding warrants for the arrest of an Anderson man and requests the public’s help in finding him. According to the Sheriff’s Office announcement, 54-year old Robert Ford Carver is charged with petty larceny and first degree burglary August 21 at 122 Beaver Lane, Mountain Rest. There, the front door window and side window had been broken. Missing were a Troy built pressure washer and a Poulan Pro leaf blower. The Sheriff’s Office quotes the victim as saying he later confronted a man who he believed carried the stolen items in a red pickup truck. That man was described as a white male, around six-feet tall with a cross tattoo on his lower forearm. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Robert Ford Carver is asked to call Crimestoppers at 864/638-STOP. A cash reward of up to $2 thousand is possible.
