Weather Alert Radio recommended

The potential for severe weather into the night is a reminder for everyone to stay alert for threatening conditions, especially once you retire for the evening. And one way is to be equipped with a Weather Alert Radio which can rouse you from sleep in the event of imminent danger. Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Oconee Sheriff’s Department, talked about the advantages of weather alert radio during Kris Butts’ morning show today. 96.3/WGOG forecasts showers and thunderstorms, some severe, into the night time hours. There’s the possibility for hail and as much as two inches of rain.
