Week 7 NFL Highlights

In NFL Week Seven action on Sunday, the  Atlanta Falcons defeated the Washington Redskins 24-17.  A hit in the third quarter knocked rookie Redskins quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III out of the game with a mild concussion. The win gave the Falcons their first 5-0 start in franchise history.  Elsewhere, the Seattle Seahawks downed the Carolina Panthers 16-12.  The New Orleans Saints got past the San Diego Charges, 31-24.  Saints quarterback Drew Brees broke Hall of Famer Johnny Unitas’ record, set from 1956 to 1960, by throwing a touchdown pass in his 48th straight game.  Monday Night Football tonight will feature the New York Jets playing host to the Houston Texas at 8:30 PM ET on ESPN.
