Weekend Deadlier than Labor Day

This weekend proved to be more deadly on South Carolina roads, than just 1 week before.  The South Carolina Department of transportation reported only 1 fatality during the Labor Day weekend.  However, Two upstate teenagers lost their lives as a result of traffic accidents during this past weekend.  A 17 year old Seneca teen died Saturday night when the car he was driving left the road and hit several trees off Sarah Simpson Road in Iva.  Seventeen-year old James Bryce Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.  Two others in the car were injured and were transported to the hospital.

A 15 year old Anderson teen died Friday night when the car he was driving left the road, hit a culvert and overturned.  Fifteen year old Matthew McClellion died in the accident on Cox Road.  Authorities say McClellion was on the was home after visiting his father’s grave.
