“We’re prepared for whatever does happen”

Mack Kelley, director of Oconee County Public Works, spoke last night in a confident tone that his department will be able to handle what’s ahead this week as far as winter weather. Our interview with Kelley was recorded last night before the first snow began to fall. “We’re preparing for anything from an inch to a couple of inches,” he told us. The snow that began to cover roads in such higher elevation locations as Mountain Rest influenced the public schools to call off classes for the day.
