West Union gets re-energized!

A tree toppled onto a transformer line along West Union’s Main Street and with it went the electric power yesterday afternoon to about half of the town and a part of adjoining Walhalla.  Town Hall, traffic lights, and shopping centers were among those affected.  Crews worked into the night and, according to Oconee County Dispatch, it’s believed that all electric service was restored by the 2 to 3 o’clock hour this morning.
