West Union Man Faces Larceny Charges

A West Union man is facing charges in connection with the theft of a jet ski. Oconee County Sheriff’s department spokesman Jimmy Watt says 29 year old Steven Ray Nabors of Chelsea Drive, West Union, was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center Monday. Warrants were issued for Grand Larceny and Malicious Injury to Personal Property. Watt says a deputy with the Patrol Division received a phone call from a complainant on the morning of July 25th stating that a jet ski has been stolen from an address on Keowee Marina Drive.  Watt says the investigation led to Nabors. Watt says deputies located the jet ski at the Chelsea Drive address. According to warrants, Nabors is accused of damaging the jet ski by spray painting it black. Nabors remains in custody at the Detention Center on a combined $12,130 surety bond.Steven Ray Nabors
