West Union to need write-in to fill office
West Union will need a write-in candidate to fill a fourth seat on the town council. Qualifying to be a ballot candidate in April 5 election passed at noon today, with one candidate for mayor and three candidates for the four council seats. Running unopposed on the ballot is Linda Oliver, for re-election as mayor. The council candidates are Kelley Weiser, David Scealf, and Bethany James. To fill the fourth seat, a spokeswoman for the election office says, the town voters will have to write-in someone.
