Westminster accepts applications for administrator

Westminster has begun to accept applications to fill the job of city administrator.  Councilman Bill Brockington says the deadline attached to the advertisement is such that he believes the mayor and council will get the chance to discuss the applicants when they meet for their regular April meeting—Tuesday night, April 19.  The job is opening with the resignation by Jeff Lord who is becoming administrator in the Berkeley County town of Moncks Corner.  His last day with Westminster is May 27.  Some Westminster residents have been heard to say they think their city might not be large enough to maintain a full-time city administrator and that a part-time administrator might be a better alternative.  “Not a part-time forever, but a part-time interim until we can hire someone,” Brockington told 101/7/WGOG NEWS.
