Westminster man arrested in Georgia-based drug case

Oconee Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 36-year old Westminster man, as part of the Stephens County, Georgia-based drug case announced Wednesday by the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office in Cleveland, Georgia.  The Oconee Sheriff’s Office identified Mario Demetric Stowers as having been charged with possession of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.  Sheriff Crenshaw said the charges resulted from a search warrant executed Wednesday morning on President Street in Westminster.
