When it comes to Democrats, GOP to take “gloves off”

As explained by Oconee’s Republican Party chairman, a major problem his party faced in the campaign for President in 2012 was that while Democrats ran around talking on smart phones, Republicans carried clipboards. Bob Skipp vows that’s going to change next time. “South Carolina, plus seven states, and New Jersey, are being targeted as using some technology ideas that we want to use in the next presidential campaign. I take that as a huge plus and recognition at, finally, the RNC level, that we have to get our act together…,” Skipp told last night’s meeting of county party members. South Carolina Republicans have their eye on the 2016 presidential election. In the meantime, however, they’re planning for next year, 2014, when the state’s two U-S Senate seats will be voted on.
